NAWP is for writers who, for whatever reason, can’t go to AWP. NAWP stands for “Not at AWP.” It was co-founded by Jared Beloff and Mitch Nobis. For years, Mitch and Jared made jokes about being busy teachers and parents who couldn’t get away to AWP, so they were attending “NAWP” instead. Then they made NAWP into a real thing. Or at least real-ish. AWP attendees are welcome too, of course. NAWP is for everyone. NAWP loves you.
